BIOGRAPHY
Ercihan Yolcu is a distinguished artist and educator with a rich background in the world of fine arts. His journey began with a graduation from Çanakkale 18 Mart University, where he honed his skills and passion for ceramics in 1996. Eager to delve deeper into the realm of art education, Ercihan entered Mustafa Kemal University, Faculty of Education, Department of Art Teaching in 1997, culminating in his graduation in 2002.
In that transformative year, Ercihan embraced the role of an art teacher in the vibrant city of Istanbul, marking the beginning of his impactful career in shaping young artistic minds. Recognizing the importance of continuous growth and artistic exploration, he embarked on a new chapter in 2012 by joining the Painting Department of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University.
Under the guidance of esteemed mentors Nedret Sekban and Ahmet Umur Deniz, Ercihan further refined his artistic voice and vision until 2014. Today, he brings his extensive knowledge to the classrooms of Istanbul Beyoğlu Galata High School, where he serves as an art teacher. Additionally, Ercihan Yolcu enjoys creating new works himself and adding to his ever evolving style. He actively participates in Istanbul’s vibrant art scene by showcasing his works at the esteemed Kadıköy İde Gallery. His commitment to both education and artistic creation truly makes him a dynamic and influential figure in the contemporary art landscape.
